World Champion Jambalaya Cooking Contest
Showcasing the festival every year is the World Champion Jambalaya Cooking Contest.
This two day cook-off features Louisiana's finest chefs competing for the coveted
title of "World Champion." Each entry (consisting of a cook and a helper) must cook
from the same set of ingredients over a wood fire. Years of practice and dedication
pays off for one contestant who wins the award Sunday night.
Car Show
This event showcases the talent and creativity of the contestants as they display
their custom automobiles.
Live Bands
If you like the spicy sounds of Zydeco and local favorites, then bring your
dancin' shoes. With all the great music, you'll surly "pass a good time!"
Champ of Champions Jambalaya Cooking Contest
Returning Champions vie for the title of "Champ of Champions." They've
proven they are the best. Now they have to prove they are the best of the
best! This is a "don't miss" event!
Mini-Pot Cooking Contest
The mini-pot cooking contest has been a tradition at the festival since the early
70's. The ingredients consist of port and sausage, 1 cup of rice and 1 cup of
water all cooked in a pint-size black pot over a wood fire. Like its big brother
in the World Champion Jambalaya Cooking contest, cooking in these mini-pots
requires skill, finesse and a pinch of luck. Needless to say, this contest is a
tremendous draw. ($10.00 Entry Fee - You furnish ingredients and wood.)
Prizes: $75 - 1st | $50 - 2nd | $25 - 3rd
5K and 1 Mile "Fun Walk/Run"
Participants of these events receive prizes and enjoy the scenery.
Annual Jambalaya Horseshoe Pitching Tournament

Format is determined by the number of entries. $10 entry fee.
The 36th festival plans to be one of our largest as we enjoy our
5th year at a great location on Irma Blvd. We hope you can come
and enjoy a weekend of festivities, great food and great music.
