Alyssa is the 19 year old daughter of Robbie and Jamie Latuso. She is sponsored today by Service Master Restoration & Cleaning Specialists. She is a 2016 graduate of East Ascension High School and is currently in her second year at Louisiana State University majoring in Biology. Alyssa’s ambition is to be the best person she can be living a happy life and ultimately pursuing a career in Dental Hygiene. She has maintained a 3.5 overall GPA earning 40 credit hours in only 2 years. She is a member of Delta Zeta Sorority, Pre-Dental Society and Tigers for Autism Awareness Association.
In her free time Alyssa volunteers at St. Lillian’s Academy and the Emerge Center. She most admires her sister whom she says is the most intelligent, and amiable woman. When asked why she would like to be the next Miss Gonzales Jambalaya she states : “Home is where the Heart is! “ Gonzales is where my heart will always be and it would be a great honor to share the love I have for my hometown, sharing and representing our phenomenal festival with others around the state. She describes the festival as 3 fun filled days featuring zydeco music, Cajun food, a car show and, of course, the best jambalaya… seasoned to perfection in our Championship Cooking Contest.
